The Bexar County Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers recognized Mr. Stephen Horvath,
P.E. as 2006 Engineer of the Year at the Engineer of the Year.
Mr. Horvath, P.E., is Vice President and Principal-In-Charge of Vickrey & Associates, Inc. He is a Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor with over 34 years of experience in civil engineering and surveying consulting in central and south Texas.
Mr. Horvath has over 35 years experience in civil engineering and professional surveying services. His experience includes planning, management, design and construction administration, and topographic and boundary surveying for a variety of public works projects.
Specifically Mr. Horvath’s experience inlcudes planning, management, design and construction phase services for street and drainage improvements, water and wastewater utility improvements, commercial/industrial developments, single and multi-family residential subdivisions, land planning and storm drainage analysis. Mr. Horvath has developed expertise in local, state and federal regulations and knowledge of various regulatory agencies’ policies.
Extensive surveying experience includes route, boundary & topographic surveys, aerial mapping control, construction stakeout, as-built, R.O.W. acquisition, Global position Stationing (GPS) and mapping in CBD, urban, and rural areas with familiarity with ALTA/ACSM, TxDOT and TSPS requirements.
